County-wide Climate Resilience

We, Door County residents and visitors, are perhaps the most fortunate people on the planet, with our natural resources, our community, and our long-term climate posture. Let’s use this ability and be leaders at all levels – as individuals, institutions, and municipalities – as Door County.

Together, we can DO MORE!

Let’s keep making smart changes, as individuals and nonprofits, and businesses. What can we do better, more effectively, if we work together as a community of 30,000+ Door County residents (and 2+ million annual visitors)?

We’ve hosted four annual Climate Workshops. We have visited and met with other awesome climate and sustainability leaders in the state (Dane County, Middleton, Sun Prairie, Monroe County, and more) to keep exploring County-wide improvement actions.

From our 2025 Workshop, we found key Door County vulnerabilities, risks, and actions. We have to keep exploring and learning… and taking community climate action to keep moving forward.

Please join us for our 2026 Climate Action & Sustainable Business Practices Workshop, a Clearing Winter Class, at The Ridges, Jan 8 and 15, 1-3 pm.

What else can we be doing?
