Our Climate Action Programs

The climate crisis is global, but its impacts are felt right here in Door County. Your actions today will help mitigate the impacts of climate change on our community, state, country and planet. Climate Change Coalition provides collective action opportunities so you can turn your energy into impact.

Every spring and fall, neighbors gather to plant thousands of native trees that capture carbon, restore habitats, and strengthen Door County’s natural resilience.

By composting food scraps at home, at events, and in businesses, we’re reducing landfill waste, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, and turning scraps into healthy soil.

Through partnerships, education, and community support, we’re making clean, affordable energy more accessible for families, businesses, and local governments.

Work with a knowledgeable coach to help meet your businesses climate goals. Whether you’re just starting or looking to do more, we can help.

Upcoming Events

From community tree plantings to composting workshops and solar forums, our events are where Climate Action comes to life. They’re hands-on, family-friendly, and a chance to connect with neighbors while making a difference.
